Columbia College, MO - Dual Enrollment

Columbia College is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and located in Columbia, Missouri. They have a robust online program with more than 800 undergraduate courses are offered through the online program, along with 29 degrees attainable entirely online. The college is a nonsectarian school welcoming all students regardless of religious affiliation, however it is affiliated by covenant with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

You can take dual enrollment classes online, anytime, anywhere. These online classes start six times each year and last for eight weeks. Minimesters (8 week semester periods) are a great value for quick credit.

Admission requirements from their website are:

Students currently enrolled in high school who wish to earn credit at Columbia College must be one of the following:

  • A 9th grader who has a cumulative high school GPA of a 3.0 or higher and an ACT/SAT score at the 90th percentile;

  • A 10th grader who has a cumulative high school GPA of a 3.0 or higher; OR

  • A 11th or 12th grader who has a cumulative high school GPA of 2.5 or higher.

There is a huge list of course options, however it isn't apparent if the entire online course catalog is available to dual enrollment students or if they restrict it to just lower level courses.

The cost per credit for DE is $70 and with their "Truition program," that cost includes all books and additional fees.

I always appreciate when colleges have special tabs for information pertaining to homeschool applicants and assigned homeschool liaisons in their admissions department.

According to their website:
